Photographing a wedding in Zermatt means working within a landscape that feels both intimate and monumental at the same time.
Surrounded by the Swiss Alps and the quiet atmosphere of the mountains, this wedding was approached with a documentary perspective focused on natural moments, movement and emotional presence rather than performance.

Zermatt has become one of the most distinctive alpine destinations for intimate weddings and multi-day celebrations, combining dramatic landscapes with a quieter and more personal atmosphere compared to traditional luxury wedding locations.
My approach in places like Zermatt remains unobtrusive and documentary, allowing the environment and the people involved to shape the visual narrative naturally.
A cinematic and natural approach
Rather than directing every moment, I prefer to observe weddings quietly and photograph them as they unfold naturally. This creates imagery that feels more cinematic, emotional and connected to the atmosphere of the day itself.
Part of the work is also photographed on analog film, helping preserve texture, imperfection and a more timeless visual feeling.
There are places and combination of people that are just magical.
I got in Zermatt to work as a wedding photographer, but as magically often happens, it came out as a friendly weekend of parties, hikes, meeting…and a lot of laughter in one of the most charming mountain views you can happen to be, and I am not talking only as a wedding photographer.
I have often asked myself how it happens. It may be a definite kind of wedding photography that talks and connect with a certain kind of people looking for something different, or just a series of things that leads to the fact that most of the times it doesn’t look like something you can imagine for a wedding.
We started with some drinks in The Harry’s ski Bar in Zermatt and from there we had a wonderful program consisting of hikes, train rides, mountain little restaurants and an outdoor ceremony after the train ride to Gornergrat glacier followed by reception and party at hotel Cervo in Zermatt.
So it’s been basically two and a half days of total freedom, friendship and fun.
Everyone has been so kind and friendly, and the nature is just majestic, the kind of landscape I keep being more and more attracted after most of my life in cities…

So it may be about being untypical in photography (or in life) but once again the gift of casualties came in and exposed me at another lucky meeting with freedom, pride, love, elegant way of being alive today and friendship, the real gifts I insist this job may give.
In a world where wedding photography keeps being relegated to clichés and trends, it’s been once again refreshing and Inspiring.
Zermatt was a special place chosen for Bryan and Stewart wedding, there was a strong connection you could feel day by day with the place. They started a private website where the program grew up and became something really exciting as the days were getting closer. It was soon time to take up the dear old Nikons up on the train and enjoy the ride.
I now just wish all these memories will be with you for many decades and that they may add something to your life.
